Although after reviewing this category, it may be hard to believe, but I was never a collector of golf memorabilia.
With that being said, over the course of years, things ended up in my bag; pencils drop in after a round; scorecards kept to review the stats of fairways, GIR, U/D (ups & downs) and putts; and in an effort to keep our bags together, bag tags of courses frequently played as part of a traveling group of “gamers”.
When I rediscovered the game in 2014, I also, discovered a treasure trove of items long stored away and forgotten. And, one that brought back a flood of memories was the items from Park Mammoth Resort Golf Course.
The pencils and ball markers are now 50 years old, and since my grandson was the reason behind playing again, it was only fitting that our first round of golf would be at Park Mammoth.
